## Ingredients
#### For the Brownies:
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
#### For the Peanut Butter Fudge:
1 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky based on preference)
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons melted butter
#### For the Chocolate Fudge Topping:
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/3 cup heavy cream
## Directions
1) **Preheat** your oven to ==350°F (175°C)==. Grease a **9x9-inch** baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
2) Make the brownie batter: Melt the butter in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat, and stir in sugar, eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Spread batter into prepared pan.
3) **Bake** the brownies for **20 to 25 minutes**, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Do not overcook. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
4) Prepare the peanut butter fudge layer: In a bowl, mix together peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth. Spread over the warm brownies evenly.
5) Prepare the chocolate fudge topping: In a small saucepan, heat the chocolate chips and heavy cream over low heat, stirring until smooth. Pour over the peanut butter layer.
6) Chill the brownies: Refrigerate the brownies until the fudge is set, which usually takes about ==2 hours==.
7) Once set, cut into squares and serve. Keep any uneaten brownies refrigerated.
